About the Role

Based in BYD's Sydney office in Macquarie Park, this role will support our Logistics, Planning & Systems team. The position on offer is for a Senior Vehicle Planning Specialist position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:

• Manage and update vehicle orders, ensuring accurate quantities and status across all systems and documentation.
• Develop and deliver agile vehicle supply plans through allocation and replenishment, ensuring seamless operations from the Distribution Centre to dealerships.
• Collaborate with logistics and systems specialists to continuously improve planning, inventory systems, and business processes.
• Partner with logistics specialists to manage and optimize shipment schedules.
• Manage inventory analysis and reporting, driving ongoing improvements in the planning system.
• Coordinate the new vehicle launch order plan, working with product teams, dealers, and marketing to forecast initial orders for new model launches.
• Collaborate with HQ and local product teams to ensure the vehicle roadmap is regularly updated.
• Work with HQ to ensure timely product setup in the system, ensuring accurate product details and pricing are updated promptly.
• Align with logistics specialists to ensure alignment between ordering, production, and shipping.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, driving optimal service and aligning action plans to meet inventory demands.
• Regularly engage with dealers, gather feedback, and implement improvements as necessary.

Key requirements:

• Ideally, 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning within the automotive or FMCG sectors, with a proven track record of achievement in planning.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting complex data and using statistical models to enhance forecasting accuracy.
• Experience working cross-functionally and adapting to diverse cultural and logistical environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data and insights to various stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• A proactive, positive "can-do" attitude.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
